About Us

President

The President serves as the official representative of the PTO and as an ex officio member of all committees except the nominating committee and coordinates the work of all the officers and committees so that the purpose of the organization is served. The President is the main liaison between the PTO, Region-12 and the town community.

I joined the PTO to be more involved in school efforts and help bring

enriching and fun activities for all our kids and families. It's been a

wonderful way to build relationships with other parents, engage with our

community, and contribute positively to our school's environment. 
Fun facts: My professional background is in nonprofit management, focusing on strategy and operations. Outside of work and family life, I enjoy reading and spending time in my garden.

Vice President

The Vice-President has the responsibility to assist the President in any capacity as directed by the President, shall perform all duties of the President in his/her absence.

I joined the PTO to stay connected to my kids through their school. To be sure their voices are heard and to assist in making their elementary school years as fun and memorable as possible. 

Fun fact: I work seasonally at Yankee stadium and have since 2009. Before that I was a season

ticket holder.

Treasurer

The Treasurer receives all monies of the BSPTO, Inc., keeps an accurate record of the receipts and expenditures, distribute funds as authorized by the organization, and presents a statement of the account at every month meeting. The Treasurer is responsible for approving, signing and filing the annual tax forms. A checking account, savings account, and/or certificate of deposit is maintained by the Treasurer.

I joined the PTO to get more involved at school and help bring in fun programs and events for the kids. It’s been a great way to stay connected, meet other parents, and make a positive impact.

Fun facts: I'm a pescatarian, eagle

scout, and can touch my tongue to my nose

Secretary

The Secretary is be responsible for recording the minutes of all meetings. Minutes must be made available to the entire membership before the following meeting in order for a “Motion to Approve” to be made for legal record.

I joined the PTO to help make our school feel a little more connected,

creative, and fun. It’s been a great way to give back to the community that’s shaping my daughter’s childhood—and to support the kind of school experience we all want for our kids. 
Fun facts: I'm a web designer and

communications specialist—but my heart’s in home design and getting my hands dirty in the garden.
