Our Annual PTO Events
The Burnham PTO hosts a variety of events throughout the school year to enrich our students' experience and bring our community together. Below are some of the beloved traditions you can look forward to each year.
While we cherish these annual events, we are always open to fresh ideas and new ways to serve our community. Our calendar is a living document, and we welcome new inspiration!
Back to School Traditions

Back to School Beautification
New this year! We are kicking off the school year with this hands-on event. Families and staff are invited to volunteer together to get the school grounds looking beautiful and welcoming for the first day, instilling a sense of pride right from the start.

Back to School Ice Cream Social
A sweet tradition to celebrate the start of a new school year! This casual get-together is the perfect chance for students to see friends, meet new families, and connect with teachers outside the classroom.

Bridgewater Tractor Parade
Show your Burnham spirit! Each year, the PTO designs and creates a unique float for this wonderful town-wide event, and we invite students to participate by riding on it. It's an exciting opportunity to represent our school and wave to the community. Look for sign-up information in the fall, and we hope to see everyone there to cheer us on!
Fall Favorites

Fall Festival
A day of autumn fun for the whole family! The Fall Festival typically features a bounce house and seasonal activities that celebrate the changing of the leaves and the spirit of the season.

Trunk or Treat
Bring the whole family and join our wider school community for a safe and festive Halloween celebration! This event offers two ways to participate: sign up to decorate your car trunk and hand out treats, or simply bring your little ghouls and goblins in costume to walk from trunk to trunk collecting candy. It's a wonderful, centralized way for everyone to enjoy the fun of trick-or-treating together.

Harvest Festival with Grandfriends & Food Drive
A heartwarming November tradition where students invite their "Grandfriends" (grandparents or other special adult friends) to school for a celebration of thankfulness. In the spirit of giving, we also hold our annual food drive to support our local community.
Winter Fun

Winter Movie Night
Time to get cozy! During the chilly winter months, we transform the school into a movie theater for a fun, low-key evening with a family-friendly film, popcorn, and friends.

Valentine's Dance
A sweet February event where students can celebrate friendship and fun. This dance is a chance for kids and families to enjoy music, move, and socialize in a festive environment.
Spring Activities

Scholastic Book Fair
In the spring, our school library is transformed into our very own bookstore! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to discover new books and get excited about reading. Proceeds (scholastic bucks) benefit the school.

Read-A-Thon
Our annual Read-A-Thon encourages students to dive into books while raising funds for the PTO. It’s a fantastic way to promote literacy and support our school at the same time.

Teacher Appreciation Week
In May, we celebrate our amazing teachers and staff, often including a special luncheon. This event is made possible by parent donations and volunteers who help us show our immense gratitude.
End-of-Year Celebrations

Field Day
A day of pure fun in the sun! The PTO supports this exciting school day of outdoor games, friendly competition, and teamwork as students celebrate the upcoming end of the school year.

Family Fun Night
Let’s celebrate a successful year together! This big, end-of-year bash features games, music, food, and fun for the entire family. It’s the perfect way to make some final school year memories.

Aloha to Grade 5
A special ceremony and celebration exclusively for our 5th-grade students. We say "Aloha" and wish them well on their journey to middle school, honoring their time and growth at Burnham.
